Feasibility Study Conducted.
The University of Central Oklahoma's Collage of Business
conducted a research study on the feasibility of our system.
This study was done on the small, 7 gallon reactor set-up.
The students and instructor came to our facility and recorded
every aspect of our process. From the amount of electricity the system
uses to the amount of time it took for us to produce one 7 gallon batch.
They used stop watches to accurately measure time and used the labels to
determine wattage used by each machine. They even included the cost of
renting a truck to pick up the waste oil.
They tried every way they could to factor in every single
thing that went into putting together the system. We furnished them a
complete list of every nut, bolt, fitting, every piece used in the system.
After the study was complete, it was determined that we
were producing biodiesel for $1.72 per gallon!! WOW!! At the time, that was about 1/2 the pump
price!
We hope to have the same study conducted on our large
batch processor. This processor will produce 125 gallon per batch and
can be operated by one person. The amout of labor involved in the large
batcher it less than 1/2 the labor for the small batcher.
We are excited about what we expect the results to be,
and will share them as soon as they are available.
